Setup and Quickguides
New Members:
Please read the Galactic Glitterati Guild Charter to familiarize yourself with the most current guild policies. Explore the site and lastly... Welcome to Wall of Light's most exclusive guild. If you find yourself lost or needing assistance, please contact a V.I.P. (officer) or GM (guildmaster) for assistance.
Players:
Good luck getting to 50 levellers! Galactic Glitterati strongly recommends taking Slicing (crew skill) at least until reaching level 50 as this will provide lockboxes which payout credits to fund the acquisition of piloting skills and mounts!
Raiders:
Raiding will not commence until a full team of raiders is ready to go so please find your own groups until that time.
Beginners:
The following settings are recommended for those who wish to share storylines with friends (party questing), access more ability bars, and view light or dark alignment before choosing answers (rather than after it's too late!).
Once in the game, left-click the gears at the top of your screen to access "Preferences".
For party questing (share quests and access cutscenes with friends) - Select "Social" on the left, then, on the right side, check the box for "Allow Access to Same Class Story Areas".
For more ability bars - Select "User Interface" on the left, then, on the right, under "Quickbars" enable the Left, Center and Right Quickslots. (To lock abilities to the bars, use the tiny padlock just left of the action bars.)
To view (in advance) Light or Dark alignment gains from conversation answer selections - Select "User Interface" on the left, then, on the right side, under the title "Conversation" check the box (if it isn't already checked) that reads, "Show Conversation Alignment Gain on Mouse Over."
*During a conversation, if you don't like the results of an answer (points lost with a companion, or accidental "wrongside" choices, simply hit, "Escape" on your keyboard for a quick reset to the beginning of the conversation.
GM Suggested Settings:
Still under "Preferences" select on the left side, "Controls", then on the right, under "General" check the box that reads, "Deselect target upon clicking on terrain." (This one is for those who find it annoying to be unable to click off a target even after it's defeated.)
(If you have more lag than you're happy with) - Go to Graphics on the left, then, under "Advanced" set shadow quality to either "Off" or "Low". Huge improvements can be expected with this setting alteration where upload speed is an issue (wireless routers, boondocks pc playing etc).
